KOEKISHA was established in October 2004 when the original KOEKISHA divested business operations and became SAN HOLDINGS. Founded more than 80 years ago, KOEKISHA has been providing funeral and related services with high customer satisfaction while revising operations to reflect changes in the business and social environment. Today, we hold more than 10,000 personal and corporate funerals every year in the Osaka area (Osaka, Hyogo, Nara) and Tokyo area (Tokyo, Yokohama). Our operations include fresh flowers, transportation services and support services after funerals. By providing total support from preliminary consultations to services following the funeral, we are dedicated to remaining the best partner for our customers.

Based in the city of Akashi in Hyogo prefecture, TARUI has been providing funeral services for more than 50 years. The company currently has 12 funeral halls in Akashi and the nearby cities of Kobe and Kakogawa. Using a clearly defined expansion plan based on data, TARUI has been opening many funeral halls in carefully selected locations since 1992. Backed by the well-known TARUI funeral hall brand, the company’s market share is higher than its competitors’ shares. The relatively small area covered allows centralized oversight from the head office. This results in TARUI’s efficient operations because of marketing that directly promotes the convenience of its funeral halls to consumers and the ability to use a relatively small number of people to operate funeral halls.
